Here are the rules for this, it will be broader as you two have more experience. I am trying to make this something you two normally don't do.
Size: 300x100 Render: 2D Render of any sort, 1-2 Renders only. Time Frame: 24 Hours from this Post Style: Doesn't Matter Color Scheme: Dark, but actual colors don't matter.

2D...meaning anything that doesn't have a 3rd dimension, OUT of PS. So no video game renders, no real people, no objects with a 3rd dimension.

My entry also Bryan, I don't even consider this a sig cuz it's so small, I consider it a tag. But hey we need our competitions to be about being flexable!! next competition we should do 350 by 40.

Alright being as Kenton and King aren't really qualified as of now to give an accurate critique, I will be judging this one solo. Unless Kwiatek wants to put in his two cents, which doesn't make a difference in the judging, I will be doing it alone. I will edit my post to reflect my scoring after I take a long hard look at each one. Con Artist cg.psychopath I will judge each category by giving the either a 9 or a 10, 10 going to the one that exhibits the quality better, 9 going to the one that exhibits the quality lower, the total overall score will declare the winner. Lighting: Both of these images were well lit. So in this case its not so much about the use of lighting, its more about the placement of lighting that will determine who gets the nod here. Although Con Artists's Lighting was well done on his brushes, I feel that cg.psychopath's position of lighting really helps his tag. This was a close one but I have to say that the lighting in psychopath's sig was much more of a key part than the lighting in Con Artists. cg.psychopath gets 10 Points, Con Artist gets 9. Render Choice: I like both renders, both seem to fit the style of their creators perfectly. I don't have so much to say about this as both are good render choices, but I think, on such a small canvas, the use of a small render does not do as much for the tag. So I beleive that Con Artist gets the nod here for render choice. Con Artist gets 10 points, cg. psychopath gets 9. Use of Space: I think the important thing in a tag of this size is to limit the negative space or at least blend the bg well with either the brushing or the render, or both. I think that Con Artist used his space really well, and limited the amount of negative space he had. Psychopath did this well, but left a lot of negative space. I think Con Artist utilized his canvas better than psychopath, so Con Artist gets the nod. Con Artist gets 10 points, cg. Pschopath gets 9 points. Style: To me, this wasn't as tough as the others. I really like Con Artist's style, but what psychopath showed me was really unique and seems to work well. The type of render worked well with the lighting effects and brushing to make a great overall tag with a "uniqueness" that really surprised me. cg. psychopath gets 10 points, Con Artist gets 9 points. Blending: This was a tough one to call. This had to be the toughest category. Con Artist did a great job of overall blending, nothing to wow me or nothing I haven't seen before, but he did a great overall blending. On the other hand, psychopath did an amazing job of blending, his tag flows seamlessly from his bg, to his render, and his brushing. He would definitely get the nod here but there is one sore spot on his tag that just bugs me, it is out there and not blended well, so for this category, the person who will get 10 points in Con Artist. Con Artist gets 10 points, psychopath gets 9. Overall: Con Artist gets the nod as he wins this competition 48-47, this was an amazing GFX battle to judge because of how close it really was. On another day I might have judged it differently, but today, Con Artist gets the nod and wins his first GFX battle here on Coalition GFX. Congrats and keep up the great work guys, I think these competitions bring out the best of your work. My decision is final, I will not look at each tag by itself for another 45 minutes each, and PS. Con Artist, don't ever, edit my posts.

I actually agree with you on this one DON, I personally think that Con Artists did a better use of space and lighting, yet render choice was great on both parts. I think one thing that effected my my position on this was that I didn't like the text on psychopath's sig. Overall I would be more than happy to use either one of these sigs/tags, good job to both of you guys.
