I know better to not get my hopes up because of H2 and H3, but from this video I'm surprised, they go back and talked about how great H1 was and they're trying to recreate it's greatness, and finally admitted in a way that Halo is kind of not their game because of the fact that the two co-founders of Bungie during the development are no longer with Bungie (Alex Seropian, and co-founder Jason Jones.)
I feel as though a true sequel of Halo can not be made without Alex Seropian (He helped make Shadowrun.) But the fact that they finally realized this makes me feel like this game is going to be much better than H2/3 and since Alex probably doesn't want anything to do with Halo, I also feel as though that they have a right to make this game.
Because before during H2 and H3 it just seemed like they were all like "This game is so much better in so many unbelievable ways!!" and it wasn't even their game, and if you said so otherwise on their forums, you would get your post deleted, temp banned/banned, but their moderators don't have much do with the development, I had a recent upset on their forums, it was probably this ass that goes by the name Shiska. It still makes them look like assholes, but this vid kinda made me think so otherwise.
*Side Note: Shishka is a fag who only does forum monitoring, yet thinks he's awesome big cheese, and sorta just hangs around for Bungie social events, and he also blows at Halo. Can't get past level 20 without team mates who are better than him type of bad.*
Besides the Halo 1 praising and admitting that it's kind of not their game, I was impressed with the graphics, From H1 to H2 to H3 I felt as though it was only like 1 step better in the graphics department, but h3 to Reach, I feel as though it's a good 2 or 3 steps, but that's my opinion.
There was also a part talking about their much larger 30+ programmer team, who are working very hard to make the codes and programing as efficient as possible to make the framerate better, which I really like, H3 prob' has the worst framerate I've played on the 360, doesn't really make a very good competitive game. I feel as though the very popular MW2 influenced them to do this.
Modern Warfare 2 probably influenced them to add perks. I'm not really sure how this works out, from my understanding there is only 1 perk slot. I'd have to play and see.
So yeah, I am much more excited about Reach than I was for H3... then again I fear it might be another Halo 3 deal, what I mean is that I thought Halo 3 was going to be absolutely better than H2, but when the game came out it became clear that both games had their strengths and weaknesses and in the end I felt as though Halo 2 was a funner game for me to play.
